Max's Performance Background

Baritone Max Haverfield calls Hays, Kansas his hometown. He recently received his Bachelor of Music in Performance (Voice) for Fort Hays State University. Max’s past production credits include Colas in Bastien and Bastienne, Dr. Dulcamara in The Elixir of Love, Bob in The Old Maid and the Thief, the title role of Julius Caesar and Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls. Along with these credits Max has joined Lawrence Opera Theatre in Lawrence, Kansas in 14′ and 15′; in collaboration with talented musicians he partook in two fully-staged operas and several scenes. He played the role of Le Dancaïre and covered for Escamillo in Carmen, and was the cover for Leporello in Don Giovanni. Most recently, Max placed second in the Senior Men’s division for the NATS Regional Competition, qualifying him to audition for nationals.

In addition to his classical credits, Max enjoys performing as a recitalist and crossover-classical singer.
